Why Muharram is the lowest-priced month
Hotels that charged Ramadan rates sit empty after Hajj, so Muharram and Safar bring the lowest package prices of the year. For pilgrims who can manage the heat, it is the best value.
Muharram Umrah packages
Muharram follows Hajj and is the quietest month in Makkah: hotels reopen at their lowest rates and the Haram is calm. Muharram 1449 is expected to begin around 5 June 2027.
The heat
Makkah reaches 40°C and above in June and July. Our groups perform tawaf after Isha or before Fajr, rest in the hotel through the afternoon, and we choose hotels close enough that nobody walks far in the sun.
Ashura in Makkah or Madinah
Pilgrims who wish to fast on 9 and 10 Muharram in the Haramain should tell us so the itinerary places them in the city of their choice on those dates.
What is included and what is not
Included: Umrah visa, return flights, hotels, transfers, Ziyarat and a group leader. Not included: meals except where breakfast is listed, Saudi SIM cards, personal shopping and extra baggage.

Muharram 1449 is expected to begin around 5 June 2027, subject to moon sighting.
Is the Umrah visa open in Muharram?
Yes. Umrah visas reopen after Hajj, usually from the middle of Dhul Hijjah or the start of Muharram. We confirm the opening date each year.
Is Muharram suitable for elderly parents?
Only with a walking-distance hotel and a slow schedule. Many families prefer Rajab or December for elders.
